OPI Christmas Gone Plaid

Hi darlings! It's Green Wednesday today so I'll show you OPI Christmas Gone Plaid from the Gwen Stefani 2014 Holiday Collection.

Chirstmas Gone Plaid is a hunter green creme. It's so pretty. A perfect Christmas green. I can see this as the base for so many Christmas nail arts! I'll show you one soon that I did.
The polish dries a tad bit darker on the nails than what it looks like in the bottle. I like that. And it's a perfect green for my skin tone.

The formula is really good. Two coats gave full coverage and the polish dries quickly. the finish becomes very shiny, so top coat isn't necessary.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Christmas Gone Plaid and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Winter Nail Art Challenge Christmas Candies

I think the Winter Nail Art Challenge is so much fun. I don't have much time to do nail art right now so most of the things I'll do are quite simple. Today's challenge is Christmas Candies.

I love sweets and I especially love Christmas sweets. Candy canes are a favourite of mine so I decided to do a red and white candy cane mani. No, it's not very unique but the result is pretty and it's so easy to do.

I used OPI Alpine Snow as the base. When the base was competely dry I used striping tape and made the red stripes. For them I used OPI What's Your Ponit-settia? and China Glaze Ring in the Red. I wasn't quick enough when removing the striping tape so the stripes aren't perfect but I still like the result. I've got to start using striping tape a lot more. I used to use it all the time but some how I've forgot about it unil now.

I hope you liked my take on today's challenge.

Smitten Polish Figgy Pudding

Hello sweeties!
I have another polish from Smitten Polish's Holiay Collection to show you today. This is Figgy Pudding.

Figgy Pudding is a purple jelly with flakies and shimmer that shift slightly from a reddish bronze to copper. It's an amazing polish! I love how squishy it is and how beautiful the flakes are. Noelie has definitely outshined herself with this one. It's so gorgeous.

Anyone else who can't get We wish You A Merry Chirstmas out of their heads now?

The formula is really good. Two coats gave me full coverage. The polish dries fairly quickly for being a jelly, the dry time is normal if you use a quick drying top coat, which I always do. It dries to a smooth finish but use TC i you want the finish to become extra shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Figgy Pudding and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Colors by Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree

It's Holo Friday today and I'll sow you Colors by Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree from last years Holiday collection. These pictures have been in my blogger archive for about a month so I fgured it's time to show you them.

Oh Christmas Tree is a deep teal gree with a super strong linear holo effect. It's amazing. This is definitely a rainbow in a bottle. This is one of those Holiday polishes that doesn't scream Christmas and can be used every season without anyone looking at your nails and wondering what the hell you're wearing since it's in the middle of summer. Yes, that has happened to me. Loads of times. I just happen to love Chirstmas polishes so much I wear them whenever I feel like it.
Anyway, to sum it up, Oh Christmas Tree is gorgeous!

The formula is good. Two coats give full coverage. It might even be a one coater if you have short nails. It dries quickly and th efinish becomes shiny. TC dosen't dull the holo effect.

Winter Nail Art Challenge Snow/Snowflakes

The second day of the Winter Nai Art Challenge is Snow/Snowflakes.

I didn't have much time when I did my manicure so I decided to stamp on some snowflakes. It was about a year ago since I last stamped something on my nails so my technique wasn't the best. My stamper didn't pick up the snowflake pattern properly, I guess I was a little slow, but it barely shows that they're not perfect.  I'm happy with the result. It's subtle but pretty and very winter-y.

The polishes I've used are OPI Alpine Snow, OPI My Signature is "DC", OPI Pirouette My Whistle, Smitten Polish Himalayan Blue Poppy and Smitten Polish This is My Tiara!.

Smitten Polish Between the Baubles

Hi darlings!
Yesterday I got awesome nail mail! I bought Smitten Polish Holiday 2014 Collection a few weeks ago during the pre-order and I got it yesterday. The whole collection is beautiful. Since it's Green Wednesday today I thought I'd start by showing you the new Smittens with Between the Baubles.

Between the Baubles is a perfect, deep evergreen linear holo. It's amazing. It's one of the most perfect Holiday greens I've ever seen. It even has a slight golden sheen to it. Probably my favourite green from Smitten.

The pictures are taken in artificial lighting since I haven't seen the sun in like a month. Where is it hiding? It's so tiresome to live in Sweden during winter. It's so bloody dark!  So the pictures aren't nearly as sharp and neat as they usually are and my skin tone gets a bit washed out, but this will have to do until the end of February. I'll try to find some good settings on my camera but these settings I'm using right now are the best so far. I promise you I will show this polish again, as soon as the sun wants to show its pretty little face.

The formula is flawless. Two, easy applied, coats gve full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny. Top coat doesn't dull the holo effect.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Between the Baubles and one coat of Pretty Seriou Crystal Coat.

Winter Nail Art Challenge: Christmas Lights or Candles

It's the first day of the Winter Nail Art Challenge hosted by Lacky Corner!

I wanted to do a Chritmas Candles mani but I've never ever in my life done a candle mani. I free handed it and it was so much harder than it looks. I usually don't free hand nail art but I thought it might be fun, and it was.
The mani is not nearly perfect and I'm not super happy with how it turned out. But everything can't look great, right?
The polishes I've used for this are OPI What's You Ponit-settia?, OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Lady in Back, OPI Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Glam Polish Conjuring, Cirque Balsam, Colors by Llarowe Woodstock and Colors by Llarowe Punkin'.

Glam Polish Pictures in my Head

Hey guys!
First out today is Glam Polish Pictures in my Head. Later today I'll show you another Christmas polish because it's finally December.

Pictures in my Head is a blue toned green filled with golden shimmer and on top of that it has a scattered holo effect. It's super pretty! It's inspired by the song "Pictures in My head" that Kermit sings but all I can think of when I see this polish are mermaids. I wasn't realy sure about this polish in the bottle but it's lovely on the nails.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CJsZf3PtXeE/VFJiNSrvJtI/AAAAAAAALdM/umqaqd4aq_c/s1600/187.JPG

The formula is flawless. Thin, but not runny and super easy to apply. Two coats gave full coverage. It dries a little matte so top coat is needed to make it glossy. The holo effect isn't affected by top coat.
What you see in the pctures are two coats of Glam Polish Pictures in my Head and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI What's Your Point-settia?

It's the first of December! It's one of my favourite days of the year. The countdown to Christmas have started. I will try to show you at least one Christmas polish (both older ones and new ones) a day. Let's start with OPI What's Your Point-settia? from the Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection.

What's Your Point-settia? is a poinsettia red crelly. It's a perfect Christmas red colour. Sightly orange leaning but not tomato red. It's a very classic red. I love the name of this, I find it so clever and fun.
I love the combination of red and gold, especially for Christmas, so I added some golden nails studs.

The formula is a little thin but easy to apply. It doesn't pool the cuticles. Two coats gave full coverage and it dries to a super shiny finish.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI What's Your Point-settia? and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.
